Hajar Yagkoubi
Hajar Yagkoubi is a former UN Youth Representative for the Netherlands. During her mandate as a Youth Delegate Hajar gathered input from young people on topics such as the climate crisis, the Sustainable Development Goals, Human Rights and Security. That input was presented through speeches that Hajar gave at the UN. During the General Assembly, High-Level Political Forum, UN Climate Action Summit but also in conversation with (prime)-ministers, legislators and politicians. Currently, she works on enhancing youth participation, climate action and human rights work as a public speaker, advocate and consultant.
As part of Network 2100 Hajar also advocates for the inclusion of young people in (supervisory) boards of corporations. She is a bridge between the corporate world and her activistic-generation and advocates for ways in which firms can embody sustainability, climate action and a broad definition of prosperity. She studies International Business at the university, which adds to her knowledge of both businesses and the transition with regards to ESG that current-day issues require.
At the New Energy Forum, Hajar will speak about sustainable leadership, the climate crisis, and engaging Generation Z.

Hajar Yagkoubi is een van de bekendste Gen Z-ers van Nederland. Van 2018 tot 2020 was ze jongerenvertegenwoordiger van de Verenigde Naties. Gedurende haar tweejarige mandaat verzamelde ze input van jongeren over onderwerpen als mensenrechten, veiligheid en de klimaatcrisis. Dit presenteerde ze in indrukwekkende toespraken die ze hield bij de VN, evenals in gesprekken met de premier, ministers, wetgevers en politici.
Momenteel werkt Hajar als radiopresentatrice, trendwatcher voor Generatie Z, consultant en als spreker. Ook is zij medeoprichter van Network 2100, waarmee ze pleit voor de inclusie van jongeren in bestuursraden en niet-uitvoerende besturen van bedrijven. Hajar streeft naar het overbruggen van de kloof tussen het bedrijfsleven en haar generatie en pleit voor manieren waarop bedrijven duurzaamheid, klimaatactie en een brede definitie van welvaart kunnen incorporeren.
Op het New Energy Forum spreekt Hajar over duurzaam leiderschap, de klimaatcrisis en het betrekken van Generatie Z.
