Han Brezet is a Professor at Aalborg University and Emeritus Professor at Delft University of Technology, where he founded and led the Design for Sustainability (DfS) programme at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. Holding an MSc in Electrical Engineering from TU Delft, he has spent over three decades advancing sustainable product innovation, ecodesign, and low-carbon energy systems — supervising 40 doctoral researchers and publishing widely in the field. He now brings this expertise to Gemeente Ameland as Energy Innovation Advisor, supporting the island municipality's ambition to run entirely on sustainable energy by 2035.
