Though consumers have various possibilities to contribute to the energy transition, they often remain inactive. New insights are needed to generate effective and innovative solutions to break down barriers for residential consumers to contribute to the energy transition.
Collaborations between practice and academia are needed to find creative solutions to these societal barriers. The increased availability of data provides unique opportunities to share insights and resources for mutual benefits. In this workshop, Hester Huisman, PhD candidate at the University of Groningen, will discuss the opportunities and challenges of collaborations through examples of research in consumer behavior.
