FULL DAY OF ENERGY & MOBILITY TRANSITION
CONFERENCE POWERED BY NEW ENERGY FORUM 2026
RESEARCH PROGRAMME
New Energy Forum (NEF) is all about inspiring initiatives driven by a huge dose of courage. NEF’s 2025 edition was attended by over 1700
participants and contained, for the first time, an academic programme. Encouraged by its success, we will host a research programme on Energy & Mobility Transition. This year, however, because of its succes the academic programme will start already on the day before NEF 2026 (17 June) and ending at noon on 18 June. Attendants are then able to join the New Energy Forum event, that starts at noon on June 18th.
We encourage researchers and students from Universities and
Universities of Applied Science working around energy transition orthemes related to sustainable mobility to submit an abstract.
For the first time the Entrance Research Award will be given for
the best paper. An independent committee deciding upon this.
We invite you to submit an abstract (in English and max. 400 words) that matches one of the parallel sessions on 17 and 18 June.
The abstract should be received no later than 1 April 2026.
Before April 15 you will be notified on acceptance of your abstract. You will be asked to submit a full paper before 26 May 2026. Details for the full paper will be shared early March 2026. Abstracts and inquiries
can be send to:
For the catering (lunch, coffee/tea breaks, dinner buffet) we ask a small fee for the participants. Regular participants (researchers) pay €150, - and students pay a reduced fee of €75, -. On our website we will give suggestions for accommodation and will give travelling options soon

Entrance Research Award
A national jury will choose the paper for the Entrance Research Award. This will be awarded for the first time. They will adopt the following criteria for the award:
Robustness of research
Methodology and theory application
Contribution to the energy- or mobility transition
Originality
The specific criteria for the Entrace Research Wward will be published on 1 April, on this website. The award will be €1,500 for the best paper, €1,000 for the runner-up and €500 for the third place. An independent jury will will be reading the papers and select the award winners.
